Locum Tenens Psychologist - NY Needed in NY

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Psychologist for a 60-day assignment in New York, commencing Oct 12, 2026. This role involves a consistent 8:00am - 4:30pm schedule, with responsibilities including initial psychology intake consults, suicide watch evaluations, comprehensive testing and assessments, and conducting individual and group therapy sessions.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Conduct initial psychology intake consults
• Perform suicide watch evaluations
• Work alongside case managers and psychiatric practitioners
• Provide follow-up care as needed
• Refer to staff psychiatrists and medical teams as needed for medication management
• Administer testing, evaluations, and psychological and intellectual assessments
• Assist with forensic evaluations upon request
• Complete reporting and charting accurately
• Develop diagnosis and treatment plans for each patient
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions
• Offer supervision for masters level staff
• Work within a residential program unit as required

• The client services patients with a range of mental health conditions, including schizophrenia, psychosis, bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety, addiction medicine, behavioral challenges, and intellectual disabilities.
