Our client in California is actively seeking a skilled Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for an engaging 120-day assignment. This role involves comprehensive patient care, including routine check-ups, preventive services, chronic disease management, and treatment for acute illnesses and minor injuries. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with the flexibility of potentially working four 10-hour shifts per week.
Responsibilities and Duties
Perform routine check-ups and provide preventive care, including annual physical exams, vaccinations, and health screenings.
Manage chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma, arthritis, and heart disease.
Treat acute illnesses, common colds, flu, ear infections, sore throats, and minor injuries including sprains and cuts.
Handle walk-in cases, performing laceration repair, suturing, incision and drainage (I&D), and minor foreign body removal.
