We are seeking an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 78-day assignment in Indiana. The role involves a rotating schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week, from 7:45 AM to 8:15 PM, including weekends. This position focuses on providing comprehensive urgent care to patients with conditions such as respiratory and gastrointestinal issues, minor infections, sprains, cuts, and performing diagnostic procedures like X-rays and lab tests.
Responsibilities and Duties
Manage respiratory infections including colds, flu, bronchitis, sinus infections, and sore throats.
Address gastrointestinal issues such as mild stomach viruses, food poisoning, and dehydration.
Treat infections like urinary tract infections (UTIs), ear infections, and pink eye (conjunctivitis).
Evaluate and treat minor rashes, insect bites, and localized skin infections.
Assess and manage mild to moderate sprains and strains.
Suture minor cuts and lacerations.
Treat minor or small-area first- and second-degree burns.
Diagnose simple, non-displaced fractures or broken fingers and toes.
Perform basic imaging for sprains or simple breaks via X-rays.
Conduct rapid lab tests for strep, flu, COVID-19, or basic urine tests.
Administer tetanus shots, provide basic wound care, and prescribe medications.
