Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Urgent Care Needed in NC

Job Description

We are seeking an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for an engaging 180-day assignment in North Carolina. This role involves evaluating up to 4 patients per hour with 15-minute consultations, managing chronic care cases, and addressing a diverse range of urgent care needs from scheduled appointments and walk-ins. The ideal candidate will handle conditions such as colds, allergies, upper respiratory issues, and perform suturing for lacerations, while referring patients for biopsies as appropriate.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Evaluate up to 4 patients per hour
• Conduct 15-minute patient consultations
• Manage chronic care cases effectively
• See both scheduled and walk-in patients
• Address a wide range of urgent care cases including colds, upper respiratory conditions, allergies, and chronic disease management (e.g., high blood pressure, diabetes)
• Perform suturing for lacerations
• Refer patients for biopsies and punch biopsies as needed
