Our client in Indiana is seeking a dedicated Physician specializing in Urgent Care for a 78-day assignment. This role involves a rotating schedule, including weekends, with three 12-hour shifts per week (7:45 AM-8:15 PM). The Physician will deliver comprehensive urgent care services, addressing a wide range of conditions from respiratory and gastrointestinal issues to minor injuries, infections, and performing basic diagnostic and treatment procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide urgent care services at various clinic locations.
Diagnose and treat respiratory infections including colds, flu, bronchitis, sinus infections, and sore throats.
Manage gastrointestinal issues such as mild stomach viruses, food poisoning, and dehydration from vomiting or diarrhea.
Address infections like urinary tract infections, ear infections, and pink eye.
Evaluate and treat minor rashes, insect bites, and localized skin infections.
Manage mild to moderate sprains and strains, minor cuts requiring stitches or staples, and minor first- and second-degree burns.
Care for simple, non-displaced fractures or broken fingers and toes.
Perform basic imaging using X-rays for sprains or simple breaks.
Conduct rapid lab tests for strep, flu, COVID-19, and basic urine analyses.
Administer treatments including tetanus shots, basic wound care, and prescription medications.
