Locum Tenens CRNA - MI Needed in Michigan

We are seeking a skilled Anesthetist for a 120-day assignment in Michigan. The role involves floating between three locations, providing comprehensive anesthesia care. The schedule typically consists of Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts (0630-1500), with either 5x8s or 4x10s, and includes call responsibilities primarily in Clare. This Anesthetist will manage a diverse range of cases, including scopes, laparoscopic abdominal procedures, ophthalmology, podiatry, orthopedics, vascular, and cardiology, along with providing support for ward and Emergency Department needs.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Float between three distinct locations as required.
• Perform anesthesia for scopes, bread and butter cases, and laparoscopic abdominal procedures.
• Manage ophthalmology cases, including cataracts.
• Provide anesthesia for podiatry procedures (approximately four days per month).
• Handle orthopedic cases, including totals with blocks (approximately half a day per month).
• Address vascular cases occasionally (approximately one day per month).
• Administer anesthesia for cardiology procedures, such as TEEs and cardioversions.
• Execute general anesthetics, MAC, and regional skills; blocks are optional, with teaching available to refresh skills.
• Provide expertise and support for ward and Emergency Department needs, including IV and airway access.
• Perform GI cases specifically at the Gladwin location.

• Board Certifications: Anesthesiology
• Other Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• EMR: Epic
• Setting: Inpatient 10-20%, Outpatient 80-90% (Clinic and Call)
• Call Schedule: Out of House Call, primarily in Clare with a 1-hour response time. Call 1:3/1-2 holidays per year. Weeknight call until 11pm, weekend call 7am-11pm.
