Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Cardiothoracic Surgeon for a 120-day assignment in Missouri, beginning Sep 7, 2026. This role involves 24-hour call, focusing on comprehensive cardiothoracic and vascular surgery, including coronary artery bypass, valvular repair/replacement, aneurysm repair, lung resections, and various vascular procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform general cardiovascular and thoracic surgery, including open and endoscopic approaches.
- Conduct coronary artery bypass surgery, both on and off pump.
- Address congenital defects such as ASD, VSD, and PFO.
- Execute valvular repair and replacement procedures.
- Perform aneurysm repair for cardiac and aorto-thoracic conditions.
- Handle lung resections, including VATs, and other chest wall or pleural procedures.
- Manage esophagus and diaphragm surgeries.
- Undertake permanent pacemaker placement and AICD insertion.
- Work with Left Ventricular Assist Devices (LVADs) and perform TAVR and CABG procedures.
- Provide vent management and perform bronchoscopy.
- Evaluate and manage acute volume and blood pressure issues.
- Perform insertions of central lines, arterial lines, PA catheters, and IABPs.
- Execute general vascular surgery, including open and endovascular techniques.
- Conduct aorto-abdominal aneurysm repair.
- Perform bypass procedures such as aorto-femoral/iliac and fem-pop.
- Carry out endarterectomies, including carotid, renal, and subclavian steal procedures.
