Locum Tenens Physician - Cardiothoracic Surgeon Needed in Oklahoma

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician specializing in Cardiothoracic Surgery for an 8-day assignment in Oklahoma. Starting Dec 23, 2024, this role involves 24-hour out-of-house call with rounding, primarily focused on both cardiac and thoracic cases including CABGs, valve procedures, VATs, wedge resections, lobectomies, pneumothorax management, and some aortic work within an inpatient setting.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide 24-hour out of house call coverage with rounding.
• Manage a diverse range of cardiac and thoracic cases.
• Perform procedures such as CABGs, valve surgeries, VATs, wedge resections, lobectomies, and pneumothorax interventions.
• Handle drain management and some aortic work.
• Respond to call-ins at a Level I trauma facility, though Cardiothoracic Surgeons are rarely called for trauma cases.

• Staffing Mix: The team includes 1 CT surgeon, 1-2 vascular surgeons, 24/7 in-house Anesthesiology, RN support, and 2 first assists. The facility is also hiring an APP first assist locum.
