Job Description

We are seeking a Critical Care Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 2-day assignment with our client in Maryland, starting Aug 8, 2026. This role involves night shifts from 7p to 7a, focusing on a mix of MICU and SICU cases. The provider will manage airways, perform central and arterial lines, intubate, and handle dialysis catheters, with a preference for experience in paracentesis and thoracentesis.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage mostly Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) cases, requiring strong airway skills.
  • Handle some Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) cases.
  • Perform central and arterial line insertions; other line skills are a plus.
  • Conduct intubations, particularly during night shifts when the pulmonary critical care physician will not be on the unit.
  • Insert dialysis catheters.
  • Experience with paracentesis and thoracentesis is preferred.
