Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Critical Care Medicine Needed in NY

Job Description

Our client in New York is seeking a dedicated Critical Care Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 6-day assignment. This role involves providing coverage for sporadic one-off dates, with a mix of 7 am to 7 pm or 7 pm to 7 am shifts, primarily covering ICU and IMCU units and managing a low volume of consults.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Covering ICU and IMCU units located on the same floor
• Managing 0-5 consults per day, typically 1-2
• Rounding on an average of 8-10 patients in the unit
• Collaborating with 1-2 residents who round daily except Sundays
• Providing coverage for sporadic one-off dates

Additional Information

• EMR: Epic
• Setting: Inpatient (ICU, IMCU)
• Call Schedule: No call requirement; however, night and weekend coverage is needed
• Patient Volume: Average of 8-10 patients in unit, 0-5 daily consults
• Staffing Mix: 1-2 residents rounding daily except Sundays
