Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Critical Care Medicine Needed in New York

We are seeking a Critical Care Medicine Nurse Practitioner for a 39-day assignment in New York. The role requires covering 13 ICU shifts per month, including a mix of days and nights, with shifts typically lasting 12 hours from 7 am to 7 pm. This position focuses on providing essential care within the Intensive Care Unit.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Cover 13 shifts per month in the ICU.
• Manage ICU and IMCU patients on the same unit.
• Handle 0-5 consults daily, typically 1-2.
• Round on an average of 8-10 patients in the unit, alongside 1-2 residents on all days except Sundays.
• Provide night and weekend coverage, with a mix of day and night shifts.

• Call schedule: No call requirement
• Patients per day: 0-5 consults per day (usually 1-2); average 8-10 patients in the unit with 1-2 residents rounding all days but Sundays
• LOA: 39 days
• Staffing Mix: Residents round every day but Sundays; one attending ICU physician works onsite during the day and is on call overnight; one APP onsite with the attending during the day and one APP overnight with the attending offsite/on call when needed.
