Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Critical Care Medicine Needed in New York

Our client in New York seeks a dedicated Critical Care Medicine Physician Assistant for a 39-day assignment. This role involves covering 13 shifts per month in the ICU and IMCU, with a flexible schedule offering a mix of day (7 am to 7 pm) and night (7 pm to 7 am) shifts. The Physician Assistant will provide comprehensive care within the critical care unit.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Cover ICU and IMCU units
• Manage 0-5 consults per day, typically 1-2
• Care for an average of 8-10 patients in the unit, collaborating with 1-2 residents daily except Sundays
• Complete 13 shifts per month

• Setting: Inpatient
• Call Schedule: No call requirement, includes night and weekend coverage with a mix of day and night shifts.
• Patients per Day: 0-5 consults (typically 1-2), with an average of 8-10 patients in the unit.
• LOA: 39 Days
• Staffing Mix: Residents round daily except Sundays. One attending ICU physician works onsite during the day and is on call overnight. One APP works onsite with the attending during the day, and one APP works overnight with the attending offsite/on call when needed.
