Locum Tenens Physician - Emergency Medicine Needed in Washington

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Medicine Physician for a 40-day assignment in Washington. Our client requires coverage for 8+ shifts per month, encompassing days, nights, and swing shifts, with typical shifts being 7a-7p or 7p-7a. This role involves providing critical emergency medical care to a high-acuity patient population within a busy emergency department setting.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients presenting with various conditions
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages, including pediatric cases
• Manage high acuity levels and trauma cases in a Level III designated facility
• Utilize fast track protocols for appropriate patient flow and efficiency
• Handle an average of 2 patients per hour within a department experiencing 24,000 annual ED visits
• Stabilize and prepare patients for admission, with an approximate admission rate of 11%

• Board Certifications: Emergency Medicine
• EMR: Epic
• Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Setting: Outpatient (Clinic Only)
• Patients per day: Approximately 2 per hour
• LOA: 40 days
• Staffing Mix: 1 MD on day, 1 MD on Swing, 1 MD on Night; APP on swing 2p-2a
