Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Family Practice Nurse Practitioner to join our client in Alaska for a 105-day assignment starting Sep 18, 2026. This role requires a provider who is comfortable working autonomously as the sole clinician in the clinic, managing a wide range of standard family medicine cases, acute and chronic care, and performing various procedures. The schedule will involve working from 8 AM to 4:30 PM daily, with additional on-call responsibilities, and includes significant administrative duties to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Be comfortable as the sole provider in the clinic
  • Perform administrative duties including clinic organization
  • Take calls and manage lab responsibilities
  • Handle standard family medicine cases
  • Provide acute and chronic care for conditions such as colds, coughs, flu, diabetes, hypertension, and substance abuse
  • Perform procedures including biopsies, toenail removal, and abscesses
  • Conduct lab draws, wound care, laceration repairs, suturing, and splinting
  • Refer serious cases to external facilities as needed
