Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Family Practice Needed in CA

Job Description

We are seeking a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day assignment in California, starting Aug 17, 2026. This role involves all aspects of Family Medicine outpatient clinic work in a rural setting, encompassing a wide scope of cases and requiring strong wound care experience. The schedule is typically 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive family medicine outpatient care.
• Manage a wide scope of cases in a rural clinic environment.
• Perform wound care.
• Address acute and chronic conditions, including colds, coughs, and flu.
• Conduct wellness checks, injury assessments, and preventive care.
• Perform blood draws.
• Care for patients of all ages.
• Prescribe birth control, including IUD insertions/removals.
• Handle minor orthopedic cases.

Additional Information

• Experience with eClinicalWorks EMR.
• Required wound care experience.
• Must be comfortable treating patients of all ages.
• Experience prescribing birth control, including IUD insertions/removals; Nexplanon certification is a plus.
• The client is interested in a provider's philosophy on Addiction Medicine.
