Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Family Practice Needed in California

We are seeking a dedicated Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a 60-day assignment in California. The schedule involves working 4-5 days a week, including Fridays, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. In this role, you will perform physical exams, order diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, develop treatment plans, and treat a range of acute and chronic illnesses for our client's patients.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform physical exams
• Order or perform diagnostic tests
• Prescribe medications
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans
• Treat acute and chronic illnesses
• Conduct routine check-ups and provide preventive care, including annual physical exams, vaccinations, health screenings, and wellness advice
• Manage chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma, arthritis, and heart disease
• Address acute illnesses including common colds, flu, ear infections, sore throats, and minor injuries
• Provide pain management, specifically chronic pain medication management
• Handle women's health cases as comfortable
• Perform occasional incision and drainage procedures
