Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Family Practice Needed in New Jersey

Our client in New Jersey is seeking a Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a 5-day assignment. This role encompasses general primary care, managing both chronic and acute cases across various dates in November and December. The chosen candidate will provide comprehensive outpatient care.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide general primary care for chronic and acute care cases.
• Perform basic wound care, ear wax removal, skin biopsies, skin cyst removal, stitches, and suture staple removal.
• Administer joint, tendon, and trigger point injections.
• Conduct skin tag removal and I & D abscesses.
• Perform Pap smears, endometrial biopsies, IUD, and Nexplanon removals.
• No occupational health cases are included in this assignment.

Additional Information

• Board Certification in Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) is required.
• Experience with Athenahealth EMR.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certifications are necessary.
• This is an outpatient (clinic only) setting.
• Expect to see 10-12 patients per day.
• LOA: 5 days.
• Staffing Mix: 2 MAs.
