Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day assignment in New Mexico, starting Aug 17, 2026. This role involves providing comprehensive primary care in a rural health clinic, managing acute cases, chronic conditions like hypertension and diabetes, and performing physicals and wellness visits across a diverse patient population, including geriatrics. The schedule offers flexibility with options for four 10-hour shifts or five 8-hour shifts.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive primary care in a rural health clinic setting.
• Perform physicals, wellness, and annual visits.
• Manage acute cases, including cold, cough, and flu.
• Treat chronic conditions such as hypertension and diabetes, with a higher volume of diabetes patients.
• Administer vaccinations.
• Perform minor foreign body removals.
• Care for a diverse patient population, including a higher volume of geriatric patients and occasional pediatric cases.
• Collaborate with an on-site Family Practice Physician.
• Conduct appointments with slot times ranging from 15 to 45 minutes, based on patient acuity and visit type.

Additional Information

• Board Certification in Family Medicine is required.
• Experience with Cerner EMR system.
