Job Description

Our client in California is seeking a dedicated Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 120-day assignment starting Aug 17, 2026. This role involves providing comprehensive Family Medicine outpatient clinic work in a rural setting, requiring comfort with a wide scope of cases. Shifts are scheduled from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and candidates must possess wound care experience.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide all aspects of Family Medicine outpatient clinic work.
  • Be comfortable with a wide scope of cases typical of a rural area, including cold, cough, flu, wellness checks, injury, and prevention.
  • Manage chronic and acute cases across a full scope of Family Practice.
  • Perform blood draws as needed in the clinic.
  • Care for patients of all ages.
  • Prescribe birth control, including IUD insertions and removals.
  • Demonstrate experience in wound care.
  • Be prepared to discuss philosophy on Addiction Medicine.
  • Potentially encounter minor orthopedic cases.

  • EMR system used is eClinicalWorks.
  • Candidates must be comfortable seeing patients of all ages.
