Locum Tenens Physician - Family Practice Needed in AZ

Job Description

We are seeking a Family Practice Physician for a 364-day assignment in Arizona, starting Oct 5, 2026. The schedule involves day shifts from 6:00a-4:30p. This role focuses on providing direct and indirect medical care to meet patient healthcare needs, formulating and implementing treatment plans, evaluating patients returning from off-site care, responding to medical emergencies, and participating in medical education and training activities.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide direct and indirect medical care to meet the healthcare needs of the patients within the facility
• Formulate a working diagnosis, develop and implement a treatment plan, and evaluate/modify therapeutic regimens
• Evaluate patients who have returned from off-site treatment
• Respond to and initiate care for medical emergencies throughout the facility
• Coordinate, lead and participate in educational and training activities related to medical care for patients
• Manage typical urgent care and family practice cases, ranging from minor ailments to basic procedures like suturing and I&Ds
