Locum Tenens Physician - Gastroenterologist Needed in Michigan

We are seeking a dedicated Gastroenterologist Physician for a 60-day assignment with our client in Michigan. This role involves 100% inpatient coverage, managing approximately 8 follow-up patients and 6-8 new consults daily, along with performing various GI procedures. The schedule includes 24-hour call, Saturday 7:00 AM through the following Saturday at 6:59 AM, with in-house responsibilities from 7 AM to 7 PM.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide 100% inpatient gastroenterology coverage.
• Manage an average daily volume of approximately 8 follow-up patients and 6–8 new consults.
• Perform outpatient and hospital-based GI procedures, including colonoscopy, EGD, and advanced GI procedures.
• Utilize ERCP experience if proficient, though it is not a strict requirement for this role.

Additional Information

• Board Certification in Gastroenterology required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required.
• EMR: Epic.
• Setting: 100% Inpatient.
• Call Schedule: 24-hour call; Saturday 7:00 AM through the following Saturday at 6:59 AM, with in-house duties from 7 AM to 7 PM.
• Patient Volume: Approximately 8 follow-up patients and 6–8 new consults per day.
• LOA: 60 Days.
