Locum Tenens Physician - Gastroenterologist Needed in Michigan

Our client in Michigan is seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist Physician for a 160-day assignment, beginning Mar 28, 2025. This role involves a Monday through Friday schedule with 9-hour shifts, complemented by 15-hour overnight call and 24-hour weekend call. The physician will perform a variety of GI procedures, including EGD, colonoscopy, pH studies, manometry, sigmoidoscopy, PEG/PEG-J tube placement, and ERCP/EUS, across both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform comprehensive GI procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, pH studies, manometry, sigmoidoscopy, and PEG/PEG-J tube placement. ERCP/EUS skills are preferred.
• Manage charting, pathology review, and communicate patient result letters and follow-up recommendations to nursing staff without scribe assistance.
• Provide care in both outpatient and inpatient practice settings.
• See an average of 12 patients per day, with up to 12 procedures daily.
• Participate in overnight and weekend call.
