We are seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist for a 60-day locum tenens position at a hospital in Pennsylvania. The assignment begins on 05/26/2025, with a schedule of Monday to Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM, for 2-4 weeks per month. The physician will be responsible for performing a wide range of gastroenterological procedures, including upper/lower GI endoscopies, esophageal dilatation/manometry, PEG, small bowel biopsies, and ERCP. This opportunity offers a chance to work in a modern hospital setting, utilizing the Epic EMR system. The position also offers the possibility of assignment extension.

Job Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Perform upper/lower GI endoscopies

• Carry out esophageal dilatation and manometry procedures 

• Execute Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG) procedures 

• Perform small bowel biopsies 

• Conduct ERCP procedures 

• Utilize Epic EMR system for documentation 

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed 

• Provide pre- and post-procedure patient care and education 

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records 

• Adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards 

• Stay updated on the latest advancements in gastroenterology

Additional Information: 

• Pennsylvania state medical license required 

• Strong experience in gastroenterological procedures essential 

• Familiarity with Epic EMR system preferred 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospital environment
