Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - General Needed in NY

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated General Surgery Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day assignment in New York, commencing Sep 1, 2026. This role involves covering first assist in the OR, managing various surgical cases, and potentially providing medical surgical floor coverage with daily rounding and progress notes. Shifts are primarily 7A - 5P, with weekend rounding and call nights as needed based on scheduling.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide surgical first assist support in the Operating Room.
• Manage a diverse range of surgical cases including robotics (Da Vinci), OB (c sections), lumpectomies, hernias, laparoscopy, gallbladder, and appendix procedures.
• Cover medical surgical floor duties, which include daily rounding, progress notes, managing orders, admissions, discharges, and consults.
• Collaborate with General Surgery, OB/GYN, and Orthopedic patients.
• Participate in weekend rounding and call nights as required by scheduling needs.
