Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Surgery - General Needed in CA

Job Description

Our client in California is seeking a General Surgery Physician Assistant for an approximately 365-day assignment starting August 1, 2026. This role involves surgical first assist duties, focusing exclusively on operating room work with no inpatient rounding. The schedule includes 10-hour shifts from 7am to 5pm, with some Saturday coverage required.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide surgical first assist in the operating room.
• Focus primarily on OR work with no inpatient rounding.
• Manage a diverse case mix including General (open and laparoscopic), Ortho/Sports/Podiatry, Vascular, Breast, Bariatrics, Plastics, Head/Neck (some), and occasional GYN cases.
• Work will not involve Cardiothoracic, trauma, or Neuro cases.
