Locum Tenens Physician - General Surgeon Needed in Florida

We are seeking a General Surgeon Physician for an 8-day assignment in Florida, starting October 29, 2026. This role involves performing typical general surgery cases during twelve-hour daytime shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM on specific dates, with no call responsibilities, focusing on inpatient care.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform typical general surgery procedures.
• Cover assigned 12-hour daytime shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM.
• Manage an average of 3-5 patients per day.
• Collaborate with an experienced nursing staff and other surgical specialties.

• Other Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS)

• Call Schedule: No Call
• Patients per day: 3-5, some variability within shifts

• Staffing Mix: Trauma Surgeon On Call; Experienced Nursing Staff; On-site ER/ANE teams and other surgical specialties including Ortho, Trauma, Cardio, vascular, neuro, Med Surg.
