Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Hematology/Oncology Needed in MO

Job Description

Our client in Missouri is seeking a dedicated Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner for a 78-day assignment starting Jan 4, 2027. This role involves night shifts from 6p-6a, with the clinic open seven days a week and affiliated with the inpatient unit. Key duties include managing a patient panel, rounding with physicians, handling ER consults, completing progress notes, and caring for Hem and Onc - Car T program patients, many of whom transition from clinic to inpatient care.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform stem cell infusions (strongly preferred)
• Round on patients collaboratively with the Physician
• Manage a dedicated patient panel
• Handle consults originating from the emergency room
• Document patient progress through detailed notes
• Provide care for patients reporting with severe symptoms, often leading to inpatient admission

Additional Information

• EMR System: Epic
• Practice Setting: Hybrid inpatient and outpatient environment, with a focus on patients transitioning from clinic to inpatient care, including a specialized Car T program unit
• Case Types: Hematology and Oncology, specifically Car T program patients, all managed on a single floor
• Requirements: Experience with stem cell infusions is strongly preferred
