Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Hospitalist Needed in DC

Job Description

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner - Hospitalist for a 60-day assignment starting Sep 7, 2026, in DC. This role involves night shifts, typically 7p-7a, providing comprehensive hospitalist care within a Level III Trauma Center, supporting a facility with a closed ICU.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide comprehensive hospitalist care during scheduled night shifts (7p-7a).
• Manage patient cases within a Trauma Center setting.
• Support patient needs in a medical/surgical hospital unit.
• Collaborate with the medical team, including intensivist coverage for the closed ICU, with intensivists handling all ICU care and procedures.
• Adhere to established staffing models to ensure seamless patient care.

Additional Information

• Board certification in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP-BC) is required.
• EMR system: Cerner.
