Locum Tenens Physician - Internal Medicine Needed in Wisconsin

We are seeking a dedicated Physician specializing in Internal Medicine for a 120-day assignment in Wisconsin. The ideal candidate will work Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, focusing on preventative geriatric primary care. This role requires a tech-savvy and organized physician committed to keeping a patient panel out of the hospital through excellent patient care, accurate coding, and charting.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Provide preventative geriatric primary care to help patients avoid hospital admissions or referrals
• Manage a diverse patient panel, including high-risk, emerging risk, and low-risk cases
• Address main case types such as hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, CHF, CAD, COPD/asthma, CKD, thyroid disorders, osteoarthritis, chronic pain, dementia/cognitive decline, falls, mobility, and osteoporosis
• Deliver acute illness and infection care
• Perform preventive care and annual wellness visits
• Conduct medication management and comprehensive geriatric care
• Ensure accurate coding and charting

• Required Board Certifications: Family Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, Internal Medicine
• EMR: eClinicalWorks
• Other Required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Setting: Outpatient (Clinic Only)
• Patient Volume: Approximately 5-7 patients per day, with a full panel of 10-12
• LOA: 120 Days
• Staffing Mix: One MD, one-to-one ratio with a Medical Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, and front-of-house staff (clinic coordinator / front desk admin)
