Job Description

We are seeking an Interventional Cardiologist for a 100-day assignment with our client in California, commencing Jun 22, 2026. This role involves a dynamic schedule of Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm, with 24-hour call coverage including weeknights and weekends. The physician will manage a mix of inpatient care, call coverage, outpatient clinic visits, and cath lab procedures, with a critical focus on STEMI cases and emergency interventional cardiology procedures.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Handle a mix of inpatient coverage and call coverage
  • Manage outpatient clinic and cath lab appointments a few days per week
  • Be comfortable with STEMI cases, including 2-4 STEMIs coming from the ER/clinic per day
  • Provide 24-hour call and inpatient coverage
  • Conduct additional clinic appointments, cath lab procedures, and inpatient consults throughout the day, Monday-Friday
  • Provide STEMI call coverage
  • Perform emergency interventional cardiology procedures such as stents, catheterization, angioplasty, TAVR, and occasional balloon pump procedures
  • Adhere to a shift schedule of 24-hour call, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, with weeknight and weekend call
