Job Description

Our client in Tennessee is seeking a dedicated Neonatology Nurse Practitioner for a 30-day assignment beginning Oct 1, 2026. This vital role involves comprehensive patient management for neonatal patients, including those recovering from various surgeries, under physician direction. The schedule offers flexibility with 7a-7p, 7p-7a, and 7a-7a shifts available, providing diverse experience in a dynamic surgical unit.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage patients with an average stay of 21-28 days before transfer to home hospitals
  • Provide comprehensive care in a surgery unit for infants recovering from various surgeries, including growers and feeders
  • Oversee total patient management for neonatal patients under physician direction
  • Address Surgical Cases
  • Work within teams typically managing 20 babies, collaborating with 2 NNP teams and 1 resident fellow team
  • Participate in shifts with 2 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners providing care for 2 babies on third shift
