Locum Tenens Physician - Neurological Surgeon Needed in Georgia

We are seeking a dedicated Neurological Surgeon to join our client in Georgia for a 74-day assignment starting Nov 2, 2024. This role involves comprehensive patient rounding and 24-hour out of house call duties, requiring approximately 10 shifts per month. The Physician will handle a variety of general neurosurgery cases, providing essential care to patients within an inpatient setting.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform 24-hour out of house call duties.
• Conduct comprehensive patient rounding.
• Manage bread and butter general neurosurgery cases.
• Handle spinal and cranial traumas.
• Serve as first call for all cases.
• Exclude endovascular, complex brain and spine cases, and tumor management.

• EMR: Meditech EHR
• Setting: Inpatient
• Call Schedule: 24-hour out of house call (7a to 7a shifts); approximately 10 shifts per month; includes Nov 2, 2024 to Nov 9, 2024 and Dec 21, 2024 to Dec 28, 2024.
• Patient Volume: Rounding on up to 20 patients on a busy day (5-10 on average); 0-3 procedures in a 24-hour period.
• Staffing Mix: No direct APP support; RN support in the OR.
• Requirements: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS); Physician must handle first call for all cases with no APP or resident first call; no endovascular or complex brain and spine cases; tumors are sent out.
• LOA: 74 Days
