Locum Tenens Physician - Neurological Surgeon Needed in MI

Job Description

We are seeking a Neurological Surgeon for an 80-day assignment in Michigan, beginning Sep 14, 2026. This position involves 24-hour shifts (7a-7a) within a high-volume emergency department and a dedicated Neurotrauma Critical Care Unit. The successful candidate will focus on stabilizing pediatric and adult trauma cases, working collaboratively with advanced practice providers.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Collaborate with first assist APPs.
• Support a primary stroke center.
• Provide care in a high-volume emergency department.
• Manage cases within a 10-bed dedicated Neurotrauma Critical Care Unit.
• Work within a Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center.
• Utilize APP support for rounding during the week; manage rounding independently on weekends.
• Focus solely on inpatient responsibilities with no clinic duties.
• Manage pediatric cases, focusing on stabilization, and adult trauma cases.
