Locum Tenens Nurse Practitioner - Obstetrics/Gynecology Needed in CA

Job Description

• Manage a personal panel of patients, including both established and new individuals
• Conduct scheduled appointments; no walk-in care required
• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care, including prenatal and postpartum patient visits
• Offer contraceptive counseling, address abnormal bleeding, and provide hormone counseling
• Perform wellness examinations
• Demonstrate proficiency in Nexplanon insertions and removals
• Perform IUD insertions and removals (highly preferred)
• See obstetric patients, noting that physicians on site manage the majority of high-risk cases

• Board Certifications: Women's Healthcare Nurse Practitioner (WHNP)
• Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS)
• EMR: Epic
• LOA: 120 Days
• Setting: Outpatient (Clinic Only)
• Call Schedule: No Call
• Patients Per Day: 10 per half day, 15-20 per day (depending on shift)
• Staffing Mix: 1 Perinatologist, 2 NPs, 2-5 OBGYNs (depending on the day); locum would have a dedicated LVN
