Locum Tenens Physician - OB/GYN Needed in North Carolina

Our client in North Carolina is seeking an Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician for a 60-day assignment, starting upon credentialing. The schedule is primarily Monday-Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, with a call schedule typically 1:2 weekdays and 1:4 weekends. This role involves a mix of outpatient clinic, GYN procedures, and approximately one day per week of surgery, managing a diverse patient population including high-risk OB and GYN cases.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Obtain privileges at ECU Health North Hospital.
• Manage a mixed caseload of OB and GYN patients, with deliveries approximately 25-30 per month for the group.
• Perform GYN procedures, with dedicated clinic days for care and procedures.
• Provide surgery services one day per week.
• Dedicate four hours of administrative time per week.
• Accept patients from both internal and external providers.
• Care for a rural, underserved community with a number of high-risk patients for both OB and GYN.

• EMR: eClinicalWorks, Epic
• Required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Work Setting: Clinic and Call
• Call Schedule: Out of House Call, 1:2 weekdays (8a Mon – 5p Fri) and 1:4 weekends (5p Fri – 8a Mon). The goal is to extend the call rotation to 1:3 weekdays and 1:4 weekends.
• Patients Per Day: 20
• LOA: 60 Days
• Staffing Mix: Office Staff including RNs/LPNs, an RN Case Manager, a sonographer, an RN Clinical Practice Manager, front desk staff and billing staff
