Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician for a 7-day assignment in NE, beginning Aug 22, 2026. Our client requires dedicated OB Hospitalist coverage with 12-hour shifts, following a 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off rotation, from 7a-7a. This role involves managing a high volume of deliveries, immediate response to OB emergencies, and comprehensive patient triage.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage 260-300 deliveries annually.
  • Provide 12-hour shift coverage, rotating with another OB Hospitalist.
  • Be immediately available for OB emergencies.
  • Perform Vaginal and Cesarean Deliveries.
  • Manage Hemorrhage and Hypertension crisis.
  • Conduct Fetal Monitor Strip Evaluations as requested by RNs.
  • Perform OB Triage evaluations.
  • Evaluate and care for unassigned Labor & Delivery patients.
  • Facilitate post-partum discharges.
  • Participate in OB Emergency Simulation Drills with the OB Team (Nursing, OB, Anesthesia).
  • Coordinate care with the entire care team, from antepartum to postpartum, including certified nurse midwives and ED physicians.
  • Perform hospital rounding and follow-up care.
