Job Description

We are seeking an Oncology - Medical Physician Assistant for an urgent 48-day assignment in Ohio, commencing Jul 27, 2026. This role involves comprehensive patient care including on-treatment visits, cancer surveillance, and managing routine follow-ups for benign hematology patients. Responsibilities also include handling in-basket management for various patient communications and potentially supporting infusion nurses. The daily schedule will typically run from 8am to 6:30pm.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform on-treatment visits for patients.
  • Conduct cancer surveillance activities.
  • Manage routine follow-ups for benign hematology cases.
  • Handle peer-to-peer and/or appeals for treatments, scans, and oral medications.
  • Oversee in-basket management, including telephone calls, MyChart messages, medication refills, and lab results.
  • Provide support to infusion nurses with patient-related questions if the primary physician is unavailable.
  • Respond to infusion reactions as needed.
  • Potentially see 1-2 new benign hematology patients per day, which may adjust the overall daily patient count.
