Locum Tenens Physician - Orthopedic Surgeon Needed in MO

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Orthopedic Surgeon for a 18-day locum tenens assignment in Missouri, starting Sep 10, 2026. This role involves providing comprehensive orthopedic care, including general and trauma cases, at a Trauma Center. Expect 24-hour shifts with approximately 8 hours of direct patient contact daily and a guaranteed 7am OR block for scheduled procedures.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Serve at a Trauma Center handling adult emergency visits.
• Manage general and trauma orthopedic cases, with about 8 hours of total patient facing time per day.
• Utilize a dedicated 7am OR block each day for procedures, noting there are no designated trauma operating rooms.
• Perform a variety of procedures including Arthroscopy, Total Joint replacement, Joint revision or repair, Tendon release/repair, and Peripheral nerve surgery.
