Job Description

Our client in Oregon is seeking a skilled Pediatrician for a 32-day locum tenens assignment, beginning Aug 17, 2026. This role combines 9-5 clinic hours with call shifts, focusing on a diverse patient population from newborns through 17 years old. Key responsibilities include well-child checks, acute visits, behavioral and ADHD management, alongside essential inpatient and nursery duties, including delivery attendance when indicated and handling after-hours patient calls.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • See 13–15 patients/day on call days; approximately 20 patients/day on non-call days.
  • Manage a mix of well-child checks, acute visits, and behavioral/ADHD management for patients aged newborn through 17 years old.
  • Conduct inpatient and nursery duties for call coverage, including newborn nursery census (1–5 babies/day) and occasional inpatient pediatric admissions (rare, 0–1/day).
  • Attend deliveries only when indicated by OB/FBC staff or high-risk criteria.
  • Handle after-hours parent calls, averaging 0–10 per night.
  • Perform newborn assessments, discharges, and delivery attendance as indicated.
  • Address acute visits such as respiratory, GI, ear infections, and rashes.


Additional Information

  • Board Certified in Pediatrics.
  • EMR: Cerner.
  • Clinic hours are 9 AM to 5 PM, with additional call shifts.
