Job Description
We are seeking a Psychiatrist for a 12-day assignment in California, starting May 11, 2026. This role focuses on providing psychiatric care for an FQHC and skilled nursing facility, managing diverse cases from anxiety to schizophrenia, along with addiction and dementia. The schedule is typically 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, involving collaboration and 10% chart review for psychiatric nurse practitioners on staff, with additional responsibilities for quarterly reviews and business hours calls.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric care within FQHC and skilled nursing facility settings.
- Manage a broad spectrum of psychiatric cases, including anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, addiction/substance abuse, schizophrenia, and dementia.
- Collaborate with and review 10% of charts for Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs) on staff.
- Conduct quarterly reviews.
- Be available for calls as needed from PMHNPs during business hours.
