Job Description

We are seeking a Psychiatry Physician for a 192-day locum tenens assignment with our client in California, beginning Jul 14, 2026. The role involves providing comprehensive mental health care to adult patients, managing conditions like depression, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia during 8:30am to 5pm shifts, including new evaluations and follow-up appointments.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • See adults, with a majority of the patient population being lower income.
  • Manage 12-16 patients per day.
  • Allocate 60-90 minutes for new evaluations, including dictation.
  • Allocate 30 minutes for follow-up appointments.
  • Provide care for moderately to severely mentally ill patients, including those with depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and personality disorders.
