Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Psychologist for a 52-day assignment in Arizona, starting Aug 17, 2026. This role involves providing multimodality therapeutic services and maintaining overall clinical responsibility for mental health programs, including screenings, evaluations, crisis intervention, and managing acute psychotic cases, with shifts from 6:00a-4:30p.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide new multimodality therapeutic services to male inmates with significant trauma histories, serious mental illness, or those in recovery from substance use disorder within the Eagle Point unit
  • Maintain overall clinical responsibility for the mental health programs within the facility
  • Oversee the completion of mental health screenings and evaluations
  • Perform sick call visits and chronic care visits
  • Conduct rounds in all units
  • Formulate a working diagnosis, develop and implement a treatment plan, and evaluate/modify therapeutic regimens to promote positive patient outcomes
  • Coordinate, lead and participate in educational training activities related to mental health care
  • Perform crisis intervention
  • Manage acute psychotic cases
  • Refer to psychiatrists for further assessment if needed
