Locum Tenens Physician - Radiation Oncologist Needed in New York

Our client in New York seeks a dedicated Radiation Oncologist to begin an exciting 6-day assignment. This role involves working 8a-4p or 9a-5:30p for 3-day stretches, preferably Tuesday through Thursday, with no call required. Responsibilities include diagnosing cancer, developing personalized treatment plans, administering radiation therapy, monitoring patient progress, managing side effects, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Diagnosing cancer: Evaluating patients medical history and conducting diagnostic tests to identify the best treatment strategy.
• Developing treatment plans: Creating personalized radiation therapy plans based on the type, stage, and location of cancer.
• Administering radiation therapy: Executing treatments such as stereotactic radiosurgery and other advanced methods.
• Monitoring patient progress: Tracking the effectiveness of the treatment and making necessary adjustments.
• Managing side effects: Providing care and managing potential side effects of radiation therapy.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team: Working with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive cancer care.
• Conducting research: Engaging in research related to radiation oncology to improve patient outcomes.
