Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Urgent Care Needed in CA

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 120-day assignment in California, beginning Oct 19, 2026. The schedule will be Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, focusing on routine check-ups, chronic disease management, acute illnesses, and various walk-in cases. This role offers an excellent opportunity to provide comprehensive care in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform annual physical exams, administer vaccinations, and conduct health screenings (e.g., cholesterol, diabetes).
• Provide wellness advice and preventive care to patients.
• Manage chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma, arthritis, and heart disease.
• Diagnose and treat acute illnesses including common colds, flu, ear infections, and sore throats.
• Address minor injuries like sprains and cuts.
• Handle walk-in cases requiring laceration repair, suturing, incision and drainage (I&D), and minor foreign body removal.
