Our client in California is seeking an Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 120-day assignment. This role offers a Monday-Friday schedule from 8am-5pm, with the possibility of working four 10-hour shifts. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of duties including routine check-ups, preventive care, chronic disease management, and treating acute illnesses, as well as performing minor procedures for walk-in cases.
Responsibilities and Duties
Perform routine check-ups and preventive care, including annual physical exams, vaccinations, and health screenings.
Provide wellness advice and education to patients.
Manage chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma, arthritis, and heart disease.
Treat acute illnesses, including common colds, flu, ear infections, and sore throats.
Address minor injuries like sprains and cuts.
Handle walk-in cases requiring laceration repair, suturing, incision and drainage (I&D), and minor foreign body removal.
