Renowned across the world for its abundance of natural beauty and warm, sunny days, Arizona is a stunning and up-and-coming place to kickstart your new career in the growing healthcare staffing industry. In 2015, we opened a state-of-the-art office in Tempe, AZ and have since expanded its team to over 50 hardworking employees who recruit healthcare professionals and make connections with short-staffed facilities. As the fourth largest healthcare staffing and recruiting company in the United States, we’re always looking for new talent to bring on our team in entry-level recruiter and account executive positions—read on for four reasons why you should build a new career with us in Tempe, AZ.

1. Close to Nearby Cities

Working and living around Tempe, AZ puts you right in driving distance of some popular cities in the Grand Canyon State. The closest is Phoenix, the state’s capital, which is only nine miles (or a quick 15-minute car ride) from our office’s front door.

Barton’s Tempe office offers relatively close access to other places of interest in Arizona:

  • Tempe, AZ to Tucson, AZ: 1 hour 38 minutes by car, approx. 108 miles
  • Tempe, AZ to Flagstaff, AZ: 2 hours 20 minutes by car, approx. 152 miles

2. Plenty of Local Sights and Attractions

Our Tempe office is located in the “Valley of the Sun,” better known as the Phoenix metropolitan area, and is situated near tons of fun local sights and attractions. Employees at our Tempe, AZ location say they love the office’s close proximity to the popular Mill Avenue District, a bustling stretch of restaurants, shops, and bars located right over the Salt River.

Also over the river is Mullett Arena, a beautiful sports venue where the NHL’s Arizona Coyotes and the Arizona State University Sun Devils play home hockey games. Don’t forget about Phoenix, though—it’s only a few minutes’ drive away from the office, and has plenty of fun attractions like the Phoenix Zoo and the Phoenix Art Museum.

During lunch, our Tempe employees say they frequently visit Papago Park, a community space a few minutes to the north of our office featuring nature trails and a scenic desert area. The Tempe Town Lake is across the street from our office, which is the perfect place to swim and cool down on a sweltering Arizona afternoon.

3. Great Office Amenities

Boasting nearly 13,000-square-feet of office space, our Tempe, AZ office has amenities such as a kitchen that will enhance your work experience. In addition, employees at our Tempe office often break out a cornhole set for tournaments and games during lunch, adding some extra fun to the workday.

Our Tempe office is also close to the Arizona State University campus as well as the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, making travel on the weekends a breeze.

4. Nearby to Natural Wonders

The Grand Canyon

Did you know that around 85% of Arizona’s land is dedicated to national parks, national forests, recreational areas, wildlife preserves, and Native American reservations? When you work and live near Tempe, AZ, you’ll have unparalleled access to some of the most well-known natural wonders in the world, such as the famous Grand Canyon.

There’s much more to see in Arizona than the Grand Canyon, however—just take the Kofa National Wildlife Refuge, the Prescott National Forest, the Coconino National Forest, and the Sitgreaves National Forest as other examples of natural sights that are ideal for exploration.
