Job Description

Our client in Wisconsin is actively seeking a skilled Anesthetist to join their team for a 63-day assignment, commencing Sep 14, 2026. This vital role will involve comprehensive duties including performing preanesthetic evaluations, conferring with surgeons, assembling equipment, delivering anesthesia according to accepted standards, and performing monitoring procedures pertinent to patient management. The schedule typically involves cases from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., complemented by essential nighttime call responsibilities.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Performs preanesthetic evaluations
• Confers with the surgeon about the anesthetic to be administered
• Assembles anesthesia equipment
• Delivers anesthesia according to accepted standards
• Performs and documents orders and considerations specific by the surgeon
• Performs monitoring procedures pertinent to the anesthetic management of the patient and according to the type of anesthetic administered
• Transfers care and reports to the postoperative nurse
• Recognizes and takes appropriate corrective action for abnormal patient responses to anesthesia, adjunctive medication or other forms of therapy
• Performs post-anesthetic evaluation
• Assists with strategic planning, budgeting, variance analysis and conformance as needed
