Job Description

Our client is seeking a dedicated Cardiology Physician Assistant for a 120-day assignment in VA, beginning Aug 24, 2026. This role focuses on comprehensive inpatient care, including the management of advanced heart failure, heart transplant evaluations and follow-ups, LVAD patients, and various cardiomyopathy and pulmonary hypertension cases.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage advanced heart failure patients.
  • Conduct heart transplant evaluations and follow-up care.
  • Provide post-heart transplant management.
  • Care for LVAD patients.
  • Manage cardiomyopathy and pulmonary hypertension cases.
  • Monitor cardiac transplant rejection.
  • Manage immunosuppressive medications.
  • Perform new patient evaluations and follow-up visits.
  • Handle medication management and titration.
  • Review labs, ECGs, echocardiograms, and biopsy results.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary transplant care.
  • Manage hospital admissions/discharges (inpatient).
  • Provide patient education.


Additional Information

  • Board Certification required in Cardiology.
