Locum Tenens Physician - Cardiologist Needed in NC

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Cardiologist for a 90-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina, starting Nov 16, 2026. This role involves providing essential patient care, performing consults and E&M services without procedures, and reading echo and nuclear studies. The schedule primarily consists of evening and night shifts, varying from 8P–6A, 8P–7A, 5P–7A, to 5P–6A. The Physician will also be responsible for maintaining a manual log of all charges.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Consult upon request and provide E&M services only, with no procedures required.
• Read Echo and nuclear studies performed in the hospital.
• Provide care for patients admitted under the client's Heartcare services.
• Maintain a manual log of all charges.
• Please note, E & M services and temporary pacemakers are covered by the EP on call.

Additional Information

• Board Certification in Cardiology is required.
• The Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system utilized is Epic.
