Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Cardiologist Physician for a 48-day assignment in Pennsylvania. This role involves comprehensive inpatient non-invasive cardiology coverage with full-day shifts and scheduled overnight call, focusing on the evaluation and management of hospitalized patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions, performing consults, and interpreting various diagnostic tests.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide inpatient non-invasive cardiology coverage across Grand View and Upper Bucks locations.
  • Evaluate and manage hospitalized patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions.
  • Perform new consults and follow-up evaluations for cardiology patients.
  • Provide overnight call coverage as scheduled.
  • Collaborate with hospitalists, emergency medicine, ICU, nursing, and other specialty teams.
  • Review diagnostic testing and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Manage common cardiac conditions including chest pain, arrhythmias, heart failure, hypertension, and coronary artery disease.
  • Provide recommendations regarding additional cardiac testing, medication management, and disposition.
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation in the EMR.
  • Participate in transfers or escalation of care when a higher level of cardiac intervention is required.
  • Interpret EKGs, telemetry, cardiac rhythm monitoring, and transthoracic echocardiograms.
  • Supervise and interpret stress tests, including exercise and pharmacologic studies as applicable.
  • Conduct cardiology consultations for hospitalized and emergency department patients.
  • Coordinate with interventional cardiology or electrophysiology when invasive procedures are indicated.


Additional Information

  • Board Certification in Cardiology is required.
  • EMR system utilized is Epic.
  • This is an inpatient-only role.
  • Overnight call coverage is required as scheduled.
  • No routine invasive cardiology procedures are expected for this non-invasive role.
  • Coverage is required at both Grand View and Upper Bucks, with flexibility to support additional campuses if later confirmed.
