Locum Tenens Physician - Cardiologist Needed in West Virginia

Our client in West Virginia is seeking a skilled Cardiologist for a 60-day assignment. The schedule involves 24-hour call with clinic hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, adjusting to Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM with full days Tuesday and Thursday when on hospital call, anticipating minimal nighttime calls. This role focuses on the evaluation and management of new and established patients, cardiac risk assessments, EKGs, holter monitor placements, pacemaker checks, supervision of EKGs, treadmill stress tests, nuclear stress testing, TEEs, and cardioversions.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Evaluation and management of new and established patients
• Cardiac risk assessment
• Perform EKGs and holter monitor placements
• Conduct pacemaker checks
• Supervise EKGs, treadmill stress tests, and nuclear stress testing
• Perform TEEs and cardioversions

Additional Information

• Board Certifications: Cardiology
• Required Certifications: Controlled Substances Registration (CSR), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)

• Call Schedule: Inhouse Call, 24-hour call, minimal night-time calls
• Patient Volume: 22-24 patients per day; 30 minutes for new patients, 15 minutes for established patients
